Blossom Series 盛開系列

盛開系列主要探討台灣庶民生活的現狀、將常見物件賦予生命力，在日常的混亂與擁擠中感受人民的生命力，並研究環境變化與人群運作狀態，期許製作更新的台灣風格，創作出帶有生命力的城市元件——把冷氣機、招牌等呈現為生命巨獸，主張台灣是一個在有限空間中如違章建築般充滿生命力的環境，動物與人在城市中努力生存。

此系列對招牌、霓虹與發光體的凝視、將城市物件轉化為生命巨獸的手法，與對庶民生命力的觀察，日後從平面影像長成大型裝置，發展為以台灣夜間光與招牌文化為題的台灣夢系列燈光裝置。

The Blossom Series explores the conditions of everyday life in Taiwan. By breathing life into familiar objects, the series reveals the vitality of ordinary people amid the disorder and congestion of daily life, while examining changes in the environment and the ways people move and interact within it. Seeking to develop a renewed Taiwanese aesthetic, the artist transforms air-conditioning units, signboards, and other urban elements into giant living creatures. Taiwan is imagined as a place that, like its unauthorized structures, teems with life despite limited space, as people and animals struggle to survive within the city.

The series focus on signboards, neon lights, and other illuminated objects, together with its transformation of urban objects into giant creatures and its observations of everyday resilience, later grew from two-dimensional images into large-scale installations. These ideas eventually developed into the Taiwanese Dream Series, a body of lighting installations centered on Taiwan’s nighttime illumination and signboard culture.
