未來安平The Future of An Ping

《未來安平》系列由三個部分構成。第一部分以拉近兒童與在地文化間的距離為目的，設置兩座以臺灣傳統漁船為原型製作的兒童搖搖車。投入硬幣後，搖搖車開始擺動，燈塔也會同步亮起。帶有眼睛圖案的搖搖車名為「大員號」，另一座以傳統漁船配色與紋樣裝飾的則名為「安平號」。作品的背景音樂由在地音樂人、拍謝少年吉他手維尼重新演繹，營造富有臺灣在地文化氣息的體驗。

第二部分是一座呈現受污染鯤鯓景象的微型模型。「鯤鯓」是臺南過去對沙洲的稱呼。為了清理開發所造成的環境污染，模型中的迷你人偶與工程車持續努力工作。模型使用取自蚵棚的保麗龍製作，觀眾可透過設置在一旁的兩座小型望遠鏡，近距離觀看場景中的細節。

最後一部分以動畫呈現藝術家對安平未來開發樣貌的想像。作品透過這組互動裝置，引導觀眾重新關注當代鯤鯓的地景，並進一步思考：歷經不同政權的統治與多元文化的交融，如今鯤鯓的未來終於能由生活在這片土地上的人民共同決定，我們應該為下一代留下什麼？

*The Future of Anping* consists of three parts. The first part aims to bring children closer to local culture through two kiddie rides modeled after traditional Taiwanese fishing boats. When a coin is inserted, the rides begin to rock and the lighthouse lights up at the same time. The ride featuring an eye motif is named *Da Yuan Hao*, while the other, decorated with the traditional colors and patterns of Taiwanese fishing boats, is named *An Ping Hao*. The background music was rearranged by local musician Weni Cheng, guitarist of the Taiwanese rock band Sorry Youth, creating an experience rich in Taiwanese cultural character.

The second part is a miniature model depicting the polluted landscape of Kunshen. “Kunshen” is an old term used in Tainan to refer to a sandbar. In an effort to clean up the environmental pollution caused by development, miniature figures and construction vehicles work continuously throughout the scene. The model is made from polystyrene foam collected from oyster-farming rafts. Two small telescopes placed beside it allow visitors to take a closer look at the details of the scene.

The final part uses animation to present the artist’s vision of what Anping might look like after future development. Through this interactive installation, the work invites audiences to reconsider the present-day landscape of Kunshen and reflect on a larger question: Having experienced successive regimes and the interweaving of diverse cultures, the future of Kunshen can finally be shaped by the people who live on this land. What should we leave for the next generation?
