Taiwanese Dream of Tainan〈台灣夢之台南市〉

裝置以「台灣夢」核心架構為主軸，以台灣特有的招牌文化與形式，結合不同樣貌大小的招牌及七彩孔雀燈為設計精神，呈現街道文化，及生猛違建、努力求生存的樣貌，重點更在於表現台灣人堅持理想跟夢想上的努力實踐。展場選出重要的議題與理念，用詼諧有趣的觀察實驗，放在招牌燈箱裡，如：虱目魚專家、彩虹台灣、民主、美食等述說台灣夢的想像。
色彩配置上，孔雀燈的紅、黃、藍、綠做為主要配色，以高彩度搭配綠色的燈管做為輔助，呈現生猛、濃厚的力道，並以高對比的光顏色來做呈現，台灣夜景因為檳榔攤的文化，大量使用綠色，因而成為台灣獨特的夜間風景。

This installation is structured around the core framework of Taiwanese Dream. Drawing on Taiwan’s distinctive signboard culture and visual language, it combines signboards of different forms and scales with colorful peacock lights as its central design elements. Through this, it presents the culture of the street, the raw vitality of illegal extensions, and the relentless struggle for survival. More importantly, it seeks to express the efforts Taiwanese people make to persist in and realize their ideals and dreams. The exhibition selects key issues and ideas, and places them within illuminated sign boxes through humorous and playful observation and experimentation.
In terms of color, the installation draws primarily from the red, yellow, blue, and green of the multicolored “peacock lights” commonly seen at betel nut stands in Taiwan. Highly saturated colors are complemented by green fluorescent tubes, creating a raw, intense, and forceful visual impact through strong contrasts of colored light. Green lighting is widely associated with Taiwan’s betel nut stand culture and has consequently become a distinctive feature of the island’s nighttime landscape.
